Great to hear you enjoyed the game! Thanks for the wonderful review!

Hi Lady tabletop! Great jam idea, only found out about it a few days ago. Working on a game that would be perfect! Will post a link here when published ✍️

Thanks, Jonathan @V2Sgames

The 🎸2023 TTRPG Jam to 21🎸 is officially over!

During the two months, 70+ designers joined in with more than 10 contributors submitting 11 fantastic games 🎲 while dozens of sessions of The King's Poisoner👑and other Tales of 21 were run at PAX Australia, SXSW Sydney and GoPlayNW online to great success!🎉

Thank you to all of you who joined in and supported the jam, and a huge thank you and congratulations to all 10 contributors for 11 fantastic submissions!

Without further ado, the winners of the two Tale of 21 prizes are announced as follows…

  • 🏅Tale of 21 Foundation Award: The Dinosaur Flying-Machine Competition: A Short TTRPG by ashleecraft
  • 🏅2023 Most Extraordinary Tale of 21 Award: The One Who Killed Trinity Balance by Jelly Games Studio

If you haven't already, please download and rate ⭐all of the great Jam submissions—some of which are currently being considered for publication.

Follow V2S Games on itch, discord, mastodon, X etc. for more games, Tales of 21 and announcements for our crowdfunding campaign, coming soon!

If you want to use AI for ideation/conceptualization, that's totally up to you! However, please don't include any AI-generated content (text, images, audio etc) as part of your submission, unless you can be absolutely certain that any works referenced or used (in whole or part by the AI software) has been agreed to by the works' original creators, who have been properly attributed and (hopefully) compensated.

No crucifixions here, thanks for asking!

Absolutely! Anything that's obviously 'inspired by' or 'derived from' 21 (blackjack) would be in the spirit of the jam.

To qualify for prizes or publication as a Tale of 21 however, the game would need to use regular playing cards and use 21 as the target 🎯 [or else feature it in a meaningful way 🌟]

Great question, thanks!

Got a question or an idea for games, tweaks or mechanics you want to share? I'd love to hear it! Pls post them below or in the new discord.

Looking forward to jamming to 21 with you!🎸

Thanks for the lovely feedback! I'll be hosting a Blackjack game jam next month so stay tuned, more details shortly...

Hi and thanks for your interest! If you'd prefer to use d12s you can! I'd recommend counting 11's and 12's as J's & Q's (and therefore count as 10) as implied. Otherwise, the odds of busting will increase and limit the narrative options.

I've found using d10s less confusing and though it does make the hands a little easier, it opens up more narrative opportunities. Most polyhedral sets come with 2d10s but only 1d12,  which means there's usually more d10s available. The random tables of 12 or 13 options each were too long as well.

Howdy folks!

Thought I'd post them playtesting sessions in some place centralized for your convenience:

Keep an eye for further developments and hope to see y'all soon!

We also updated the Wanted Poster to better reflect them sentiments expressed in Your West World. It's already on the storefront, and you can download THE GOOD THE BAD & THE GLORY Posse Poster Roster & Ledger PDF updated version 1.01 from the downloads.

Now there ain't no stopping you creating any kind of gunfighting legend you want!

THE GLORY TOWN CODE

In accordance with this here code, all members of Glory Town shall adhere to the following:

  1. Act civilized. Kindly treat this discussion forum with the same respect due a valued community resource. This is a public place to share news, ideas, knowledge and interests related to the game through ongoing conversation—it's not the town dump. Please keep it clean; don't urinate on it or leave garbage.  Think how you might make it better for the next person who comes to visit.
  2. Be kind. Glory Town folks are supportive and kind. They assume the best of intentions of their neighbors and visitors and try to imagine what others say and do in the best possible light. They think about the impact of their words and the privileges they hold. They consider the possible situations of those they interact with, which is likely unbeknownst. They try to improve the conversation instead of reacting to tone or inconsistency. Where possible, criticisms offer constructive  solutions and alternatives. Personal attacks are avoided. They would never seek to hurt, mock or upset one another.
  3. Participate. Share your passion, ideas and efforts. The Glory Town community asks only that when you do, you consider your words and their impact and import. It's vital that Glory Town members offer opinions and discuss issues in a spirit of support, kindness, and inclusivity. Ponder your intent and act with integrity and love. Be positive and supportive of others as you would hope they would be of you.
  4. Be creative. Don't be shy about saying and doing. Just consider your words, the privilege they hold, and the relative position of those they interact with. Where possible, criticisms should offer solutions and alternatives. Personal attacks, even indirect subtweeting, ain't right and should be avoided. No hurt, mockery, invalidation or erasure will be tolerated. Exemplify ideas which create rather than destroy.
