Hi hi! We are currently working on a 2D Point-And-Click-esque game. Without spoiling too much, the game centers around an AI who gains sentience, and struggles with the anxieties of their new identity as a grad student researcher and following their directive of leading the most fulfilling life that they can.

I have been doing some of the initial coding in Godot and can continue to work on the coding if it comes down to it, but with the deadline on the horizon and the fact that I need to focus more on finalizing the story (with an appropriate scope) and getting the script hammered out, I really could use some additional hands on the coding end. If you are interested, feel free to reply below or shoot me a DM on discord (Username: mr_u)

While we're mostly looking for coders, if any 2D artists (especially those good at UI design and/or VFX) or writers are particularly interested in the idea, feel free to reach out to me and I'll see if you'd be a good fit (we are not looking for composers/sound designers atm, sorry :/)

Hi hi!!!!

Me and one other person are working on a sci-fi adventure game that focuses on themes on anxiety / depression, loneliness, and self-actualization. You play as an AI based on their grad student creator who gains sentience and struggles with the anxieties of grad school, loneliness, young adult life, and finding their own identity.

We are particularly looking for 2D artists (slight pref to pixel art but we're open to any style that seems appealing) and sound designers / musicians (ideally ones with experience or interest in some combination of sound effects, ambient music, electronic music, and/or indie music). But honestly we'd be open to having anyone who seems like a be a good fit to work with and are passionate about the idea

Note that neither me nor the other person I'm working with have much experience with game dev (this is our first real game jam!), but I am pretty experienced at coding, my partner is pretty experienced at writing, and we are both pretty confident in the ideas we have for the game. Also note that we are currently considering using Godot, but we are open to using Unity if needed

If you are interested, feel free to respond below or message me on Discord! (username is mr_u

(Please note that it may take some time to figure out if you can join us since my other groupmate is away this weekend)
