I see you and I appreciate you, folklore geeks!

The smooth look is generally our artist Arrapso's style, so that's how most of our love interests ended up. I'm a chest hair fan myself, but I also know I'm a fair bit older than many of our readers (and I'll note that my mom has complained to me about the smooth chests, heh). Unfortunately, a chest hair toggle is out of scope, but I understand how you feel!  It's just one of those things that comes down to different strokes for different folks and in this case I went along with how our artist prefers to draw people (though I did manage to sneak Tuck through with some fuzzy!).

Oh, that sucks, I hope you've been able to correct it.  I've just been through a battery of tests since Jan. when I finally got a new doctor who was willing to look into it instead of telling me to "eat right and exercise."  Blood tests show my iron is fine but my B12 is low and I have systemic inflammation.  We've ruled out everything else and my symptoms started a week after I had Covid so she's now confident that she can send me to a specialist for long Covid.

Thank you!  If nothing else if we can treat the inflammation I'm dealing with we should be able to reduce my fatigue.  Thanks so much to all of our wonderful followers for being understanding. I'm mad that I work so slowly but it's hard when I'm constantly falling asleep.

Thanks! I always enjoy a bit of levity in the patch notes, so I figured why not?

Yes! The Made Marion Mega-Guide (an art book/lorebook/game guide) will go on sale with the game's full release. I'm always glad when a Robin Hood fan finds us, welcome!

Thank you!  Glad you enjoyed it! :D

Ha ha ha, smart and yet breathtakingly stupid is the human condition, methinks. :D

Thank you so much! I'm glad Steam regional pricing was useful for you. As a Canadian, I understand currency conversion pain.

We're busy with Will's route now and yes, Layton and a mystery love interest will be released as a standalone DLC game after the main game is out!

If you haven't seen the love interest PoV scenes in the Extras menu yet, there's one between John and Robin that I rather like. Thanks again for your support!

We'll have a game guide/lorebook/art book available closer to our final launch, and I'm sure folks will write some achievement guides as well. I do plan to make a guide for the free choices you can make that can change your experience but don't lead to a specific ending (for example, the choice whether to write an angry or diplomatic letter to Marion's father). I should have that in place when I release Will's route.

There will be plenty of John in Will's route - he's overprotective of his brother, after all!  We won't be seeing as much of the Sheriff this time. He was the primary antagonist in Robin's route, but somebody else plays that role for Will.  Gotta change things up, eh?

Thank you!

Thank you so much!

We're not really set up for itch/Steam key exchanges unless you're a backer, sorry!  If you are a backer, please contact me on Kickstarter.

Thank you, happy holidays!

Thank you so much, I'm glad you're enjoying it!

Thanks so much! We really appreciate everyone who has been patient through our rocky development journey.

Thank you so much for your consistent positivity and support!  <3

Glad you got it to work!

It looks like you may have had a hiccup while downloading.  I tested the archive with native Windows unzip, 7zip, and WinRAR (most recent non-beta version) and all of them extracted the files without issue.  Try re-downloading?

I think of him as lawful neutral, though that probably looks a bit different than usual since he IS the law.

Geoffrey in Robin's Route: Hi, I'm being a gigantic jerk!

Geoffrey fans:  ::happy sigh::

I'm just joshin' y'all.  I knew it would be like that with Geoffrey from the moment I decided it was important to be able to romance the Sheriff.

Thank you so much!

I do know Geoff is a huge fan favourite, but I promise that's not why he's the final route. It just makes the most sense to go last due to plot reveals and also, writing the Geoff/Gui split route is going to kill me (but I'm also very excited for it).

They do, though it will have more divergence than the other routes. It's not a love triangle route so much as a question of who Marion decides to trust while unraveling the truth behind Geoffrey's decisions as Lord of Nottingham.

Backers may absolutely play Early Access. I will be sending out your game keys on the 16th.  I'd never make y'all pay twice!

Thank you so much!  I'm so excited for everyone to play Robin's route!

Rest is important! Enjoy your vacation!

Thanks for all your comments! It's nice to know people read these. :D

No, there are two non-romanceable characters that Marion can have brief romantic encounters with (one in the prologue, one in Sherwood Common) before she gets involved with the romanceable characters. Doing so does not negatively affect your relationships in any way, but may change some dialog with the non-romanceable characters later on.

Once you pick a love interest at the end of the common route, you can't kiss anybody else *except* in Geoffrey and Gui's shared route, where the actual romance choice comes later on.

There aren't many choices in the game that negatively affect your romances. There are a few choices that let you specifically choose to end a romsnce (leading to the Sherwood friendship ending for Robin, John, or Will) and occasionally a bad ending choice will be relationship related. Otherwise, your choices lead to one of two good endings per route!

Thanks!

Surely, if it were a typo, don't you think we'd have fixed it over several years of development and a Kickstarter campaign?

Yes, we will be Early Access on both Itch and Steam. Feel free to buy on your preferred platform!

There aren't, sorry!

Sorry about the delays from last year (the whole team got knocked down by major illness and other IRL issues).  We're getting ready to beta our first route now, and we'll be releasing them one by one in Early Access (buy once, get access to everything as it's released - only full routes will be released so no cliffhangers) starting this fall.

Thanks for sticking with us, we're very excited to be turning out the game at last!

Thanks, you take care of yourself, too!

Correct!

I don't know how clever it is, but it's Made Marion because you're made into Marion when you play it.

Funnily enough, I've found myself enjoying the writing much more freely in the past couple days since finally being able to describe what happened last year to y'all.  It's been a journey to try to understand what was going on in my brain, but I recently read some excellent accounts by others who have gone through long Covid or know people who are going through Long Covid and don't realize what it is doing to their cognitive faculties. That really set off a light bulb with me, and I was able to look back on myself last year and go, "Oh. YEAH."

Thank you so much!

Though I'm not prepared to outsource the writing (I think that actually might be more work for me than doing the writing myself, because the stories and secrets in this game are deeply entwined with one another), I have been increasingly willing to outsource programming tasks.  Our wonderful coding assistant Shawna will be coding in our Extras section soon, and I've also brought on the fabulous Jaime Scribbles to do some smaller coding commissions for us.

Thank you so much!  It's hard not to feel the guilty feels, but I'm trying to turn them into the drive to make sure I sit down and write at least a little every day.  I am profoundly grateful that I am no longer sitting on the couch staring at the wall.
