Have a question, do top down style counted as metroidvania ?? Mostly metroidvania games are platformer games, so just curious to know whether top down style can be adopted in metroidvania or not

Greedy firefly is a retro style platformer game where you control a flying firefly to move across the map to collect all objectives. You need to collect all objectives to unlock the exit gate and each level you get only one chance, failing will reset all your progress of that level and you have to start from beginning of that level.
