Hello all,

For the outgoing project of a team of three,  we're currently looking for 2d artist(s) and 2d animator to bolster our team in working on 2D dark fantasy cRPG.

The game is a PC game, 2D turn-based RPG set in a grimdark world, it falls into similar niche as Darkest Dungeon, Knock on the Coffin Lid, Banners of Ruin. It will consist of map exploration, turn based battles and character dialogues/cutscenes in between - the game closest to our ideal when it comes to core mechanics would be Battle Chasers: Nightwatch.

We unfortunatly cannot offer permament contract, but will be offering paid comissions for the jobs - no less then 3-4 a month, possibily more - depending on the agreement and available time. Most of the comissions (90%) would be fantasy characters and monsters.

Our goal is to deliver the demo by the december 2021, and continue working on the next acts of game through 2022 - so that's a lot of commissions!

2D Artist - Requirements:

- Sharing a portfolio, obviously!
- Your task will be to mostly draw characters (design & finalize), but we may also ask for an occassional background stamps
- You will need to adhere to general (dark) style of the game
- (Good to have) Basic understanding how 2d skeletal animation works and ability to produce easy-to-animate art (dissassembled and adhering to animation base skeletons)

We offer:

- At least 3-4 art commisions a month, possibly more, depending on the agreed prices and your time availability
- (Optional) Join us on the discord as a team member, with ability to participate in discussions, mindstorming, internal playtests, proposing ideas and generally driving the direction where the game would be going.

2D Animator - Requirements:

- Having previously work on animating game assets with a skeletal based animation systems
- A good understanding of anatomy and kinetic animation
- Understanding of animation principles (timing, staging, anticipation, squash/stretch).
- (Good to have) Having previously working with Unity 2D skeletal animation system or with importing Spine animations to unity.
- (Good to have) Ability to prepare art for animation: diassembling, completing and adjusting 2d assets

We offer:

- At least 2 commissions a month, possibly more, depending on the agreed prices and your time availabilty.
- (Optional) Join us on the discord as a team member, with ability to participate in discussions, mindstorming, internal playtests, proposing ideas and generally driving the direction where the game would be going.

Ps:  We're also looking for artists/animators with a less experience willing to join the team based on milestone payment system. If you'd like to be a game dev artist or animator, but didn't have any work done yet, we could use your talents - if you contribute, we'll also pay you based on your contributions for each project milestone that was achived.

Feel free to catch me on the discord if you'd like to know more/are interested:

Hello all,

For the outgoing project of a team of two, we are currently looking for a story writer.

The project is currently at the early alpha stage of development (2 months old) in Unity (playable, abelit without much content), and it's also subject to dramatic changes (at least when it comes to core game mechanics), but we got clear vision of what kind of game we want to make.

Here are some early placeholder media to get a better 'feel' of the project:
Exploration event:

Battle (Gif) - no animations yet for alpha version:

About our team:

  • Veriok - I'm an avid gamer and fantasy fan. With 4 years of experience in freelance and hobbistic development in Unity, and 7 years of experience in development in general. I had a brief experience in Game Developement Industry. I made a handful of prototype projects, ranging from cRPG's, strategy games and even an mmo. I have also one game published on steam, and one game published on android store.
  • Borys Viktor (it's not a name, its a nick) - An experienced java developer, but also talented artist and musican. He will be mostly responsible for art in the project.

Requirements:

  • The offer says 'writer', but as a small team, it will fall on you to be part of our brainstorming discussion companion and being a playtester - basically a general team member. You will need to speak your mind and voice your opinions from time to time, not only write stuff. Basically, it falls a bit into a role of game designer/writer.
  • Good level of written english
  • No prior game writing expertise is needed, but you need to understand the basics of writing good story at least in theory
  • Contributions to the project at least twice a month
  • (Nice to have) Being a fan of cRPG/turn based games would be a huge boon

What can we offer:

  • Work with experienced people who know how to deliver stuff
  • Possibility to direct a story set in dark fantasy world
  • Your name in credits
  • (Optional) We can create a designer tools for working with the story, which will allow you to test the story you write directly in alpha build without us needing the send you the new build. Just make changes, and run the game to see them immiedietly changed in the build.
  • (Optional) We cannot offer a permament contract, but depending on the effort put we can offer a cash bonuses at specific project milestones

Our current estimations/targets for delivery is demo available on Itch.io close to the end of the 2021.
After we are confident that the game is bugs free, fun to play and we got at least half of the story done, we will move with an steam early access release.

Please reply to this post if you're interested or send a PM. Thanks!
