So I picked Kou. I thought I was gonna pick Dai, but the way the Kou sprite looks at you made me blush fr. I absolutely love the dynamic between the MC and Kou. It's refreshing to see the power balance tip back and forth, which is something I don't see too often in in BL. Having Kou actually be a competent secretary makes the moments when he discards professionalism have even more of an impact. Great writing, Bravo.

If it doesn't require you to do too much extra, releasing a build without the sidequests and labelling it WIP, plus maybe a message at the end that says future builds will add side content sounds like a good idea. Don't underestimate how funny the game is even outside of the big joke parts. Sure Beatrice made me wheeze laugh, but your writing style in chapter 1 kept me chuckling throughout.
Now that there's gonna be a branch at the end of chapter 2 I know I'll definitely be playing it at least twice, so having to go back and play the chapter again for the side content wouldn't be an issue. I wonder, is it essentially gonna be the same 2 choices for all 3 routes once they get released?
That said, I totally get not wanting to release an unfinished chapter, especially if it would require extra temporary coding to tie off loose branches until the next release. Either way, I'm definitely looking forward to chapter 2 it definitely sounds like it will be well worth the wait. 2024 is officially the year of lube!
