Just asked in chat. Was told by a mod that you can start working on it now. I think the config on the jam page was supposed to be that it started now and you have a month to complete your game rather than how it's configured now (waiting until Aug 29th to start the jam and only have a couple of days to complete it).
Solid game! Still trying to get past nick. The fights don't feel cheap at all. If you die it's a skill issue (I wish I could cope and say otherwise lol). Good stuff!
From the looks to the mechanics it's a pretty solid game. I will admit I couldn't make it past the second place. No doubt if I practice the mechanics I should flow easily.
Hey! First of all thank you for playing! By 3rd screen you mean the first banana jump right? If so once you get the banana powerup you can jump left and bounce off the wall. Though you probably don't want to jump at full power.
Definitely one of my top favorites. The animation is sick and satisfying. The music/sfx are fit quite well. The game mechanics are fun. It fits the theme of the jam well. Honestly a really impressive game made in such a short while.
Honestly a fun and super original idea. This just exposed how bad I am at typing and knowing where the letters are at. Even though I was bad the polish on this game made it really satisfying to keep trying over and over again.
The overall mood and tone of the game is pretty incredible. The game is hard but fair. Honestly solid job on this. Games like this always remind me how skilled some game devs are.
