Do I need to put something in the script to set the template up at the beginning of the game?

I need some help with coding in unity, specifically how to set up dialogue since i cant get text mesh pro to work i assume its something im doing wrong, any insight would be much appreciated!

I am currently working on a visual novel and I'm looking for a programmer that can use renpy to make stats and stuff and adjust the UI a bit. I want to be able to also make a stats screen separate from the menu that pops up when you click escape. I won't be able to pay you but I will put your name in the credits and I will pay you if I make any money off the game.

Hello, I am a 2d artist currently looking for something to work on. My pros are that I can do character designs and backgrounds. My cons are that im limited to specific poses for now and I find it challenging to draw clothes. I've never done concept art, that is on my to-do list lol. As for backgrounds, I can do backgrounds, mostly nature and stuff that's not too detailed. I'm not sure if id be able to draw a bustling city is what I mean
