Way more than two years... I paid $60 four years ago. I loved their Seiyuu Danshi game so much that at the time, funding this was a no-brainer, but I think they're in over their heads.

Yep... is anything happening here? Anyone home?

Agree... two things would improve this fun game:

1. Are you sure you want to leave the island (if you haven't finished the entire game yet)?

2. Instead of saying you might have missed secrets when you board the boat, if you finished everything, make that the message.

Great game. I had a lot of fun playing it... perfect length of time for a fun little playdate romp.

Awwww... thanks! ❤️🏳️‍🌈⚣

Another VN by our favorite 900 year old alien! Boyfriend (now fiancé) and I were talking about how we were hoping for something new from you just two days ago!

I'd say that it's good to know that I'm not alone, but in this case, it isn't.

The solidarity is definitely appreciated... and I hope you're doing okay.

Awwww... another cute game! My boyfriend and I haven't played one of your games in ages but I was so happy to come here and find a bunch of new ones!

I would also love it on the Playdate. Seems absolutely perfect for that platform.

I'm so glad to see you've been working on this game! I'm on vacation this week, so it's the perfect time to try it.

Given the enormous number of characters and the speed of development, I wouldn't hold my breath... I wonder if the developers bit off a little more than they could chew.

Any possible idea when this game is going to be finished? I bought it three years ago and I'm excited to be able to play all the way through!

"to make the head pat scenes better"

LOL I feel a sudden wave of relief knowing that there will be head pats.

I hope the move was a good thing. Besides playing BL VNs and JRPGs, one of the things I like to do is listen to narrations on YouTube of real life horror stories. I have heard so many about what people have run into hiking or camping... so stay safe, or at least make sure to charge up your alien powers before you go out. 😅

We haven't done much hiking yet... people do hike up Mauna Kea but the altitude is very high... 9,330 m, and the oxygen up there is really thin. I've driven up a few times and you start to feel like you've drank a six pack of beer. LOL I am definitely not in the shape to do something like that yet, but working on it!

That's awesome that you've read up on Hawaiian legends and mythology... I've wanted to learn Hawaiian (there are only 13 letters in the alphabet, and I joke that half of them are K because it feels like every street name starts with a K and has about 10+ letters after it... e.g. Kalanianaole)... but I'm already so far behind on studying Japanese and doing some programming studying to keep myself relevant. 😅

LOL we'll play this soon... we've already been practicing...

Kaelia: "Mom, Kai's being an idiot... again."

Mom: "Now Kaelia, be nice to your brother! We both know that he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer!"

Kai: "Kaelia, I wanna watch Mr. Coochie*. I'm telling! MOMMMMMM!"

(And Percy gets the "Diabeetus" guy's voice, and Ava whispers.)

LOL I should record us doing the voices sometime on YouTube... they came out especially well in this game.

(* I know it's not Mr. Coochie, but it's funnier that way.)

It's absolutely beautiful here... I love it so much... going to sleep at night to the sound of the coqui frogs (really loud cute tiny frogs that got here from Puerto Rico), and waking up to be able to see the coconut palms and up to the top of Mauna Kea, the tallest dormant volcano in the world. I love it here so much... my only complaint is how crazy expensive things are!

We got caught up in a few other VNs that were taking forever (we're still not done Witch on the Holy Night and Slow Damage) so we haven't checked up on our favorite 900 year old alien in awhile... this popped up in my inbox today and I was super excited!

I hope you are doing well! I'm always glad to see a new game from you! <3

OMG... the original was our second favourite game that you made after the Odd Guy Meets Odd Farmers. Can't wait to play it! We haven't talked in so long! The boyfriend finally moved to Hawaii so we can now play together in person instead of over video chat!

I did... I play VNs with my boyfriend (where we voice the different characters and try to be as ridiculous as possible) and we always use the same name for the main character when given the choice.

Understandable, and I'm sorry: that must be tough to deal with.

Most extroverts think that we're all socially awkward and shy... that's something that can be true for both introverts and extroverts. I know some really socially awkward extroverts.

Just because of that misconception, I kind of bristle when it becomes an introvert stereotype.

Definitely all about the Toby! My boyfriend (who will be moving here in exactly four weeks) and I zipped through this one and enjoyed it like always.

The number of VNs you have also shouldn't affect the speed of a game, unless your storage space is almost full... or if you are running a bunch of them at the same time.

Funny that you felt that that was a good representation of introverts... I am severely introverted and I didn't quite agree: I like to spend almost all my time by myself, but I'm not shy or socially awkward at all... in fact, I get along with most people very well and feel confident in my interactions. Being social just drains my batteries, whereas being alone recharges them.

I ran it on my M1 MacBook Pro and it wasn't laggy at all.

I noticed this as well... I was like, "Why is the character calling me Guy?"

Then on my second playthrough, it occurred to me when I saw that the default name was Guy.

LOL it really isn't hard. You kinda have to try to get one of the bad endings. Before you talk to the shadow NPCs, save your game, because you can make a wrong decision there that might affect the outcome, but the rest should just be following common sense.

I absolutely love all of your games... I haven't been able to play them myself, because I use a Mac since I develop software and need a Unix environment (and I just don't like Windows, especially since 8) but I've watched ManlyBadassHero play through them all on YouTube and they are easily amongst my favourite horror games... the unique but consistent art style and your ideas are great!

I'm so happy to see Grandma's face again. <3.

Wow... that actually worked! Thank you so so much!

I thought it was an issue with RPGMaker and MacBook Pro 1.10.5+ compatibility... but it's great to see it working after fiddling with all sorts of permissions and trying to cd into the game folder and fiddle around with things! Thank you so much! I had no idea that this existed.

The Mac version doesn't seem to work... the permissions are wrong and when I fix them, it just crashes... happens on my Intel and M1 MacBook Pros. :'(

I'll try pulling out my old Windows laptop to see if I can get it to run there.

LOL my projects are for solving math problems, so not quite as much entertainment appeal as this.

Thanks for updating me. I really hope everything is okay for them.

Too many promising projects just die for reasons (I've been there myself as a software engineer that enjoys programming in my spare time) and this one looks especially good. I'm wishing good things for the team. ❤️

I saw ManlyBadassHero play through the demo, and this game looked like it had SO much potential... but that playthrough was two years ago and it doesn't look like there has been any development since then. Is this project dead?

WTF is wrong with China?

Yep. So would I, and it would be easy to have done if it had been planned from the start, but no: so many people only support Windows. It's irritating when there are so many cross-platform options.

So tired of games that could be so easily made for Windows, Mac, and Linux only being made for Windows. ◔_◔

I love your games so much.

If you need help, let me know. My Spanish is passable.

Awww... short, but a lovely story. I really enjoyed this! Thanks as always for a beautiful, fun game.

Nice. He might be exactly what i'm looking for!

Fair enough, and a good point. Thanks for replying, and for making this game in the first place!

Some guys just don't have body hair?
