Terra Uncharted
Terra Uncharted is a new game I've been working on for the past few weeks. The game currently features four distinct layers: Dirt, Stone, Blackstone, and a yet-to-be-named purplish stone, as well as an Underworld.
- Top Layer: This layer includes dirt, trees, ferns, flowers, and tall grass. There are various building materials available, crafted primarily from wood. Currently, you can mine any block, but this will change with the introduction of tools.
- Second Layer: This layer consists of normal stone and caves. When you dig through the dirt, vines will grow.
- Third Layer: This layer is made up of Blackstone and also contains caves.
- Fourth Layer: This unnamed stone layer has a purplish color and features a vast cavern stretching across the entire world. It resembles the underworld due to its proximity to it.
- Underworld: The underworld features trees, flowers, grass, and a reddish tint. It has a unique grass type, different stone types, lava, and challenging terrain. The caves contain a different type of vine.
The game world is made up of 255 by 255 tiles in a normal world. I recently added a feature called "Sectional Worlds," which generates four different worlds and stitches them together, creating a world that is 1020 by 255 tiles. The graphics are visually appealing, and the world is randomly generated with three different cave types, an underworld, and sectional worlds.
Currently, there are no mobs, but there is a crafting system, and you don't need any tools to mine anything yet. While there are no survival aspects yet, I have many planned features, including:
- Mobs
- Survival mechanics
- Day and night cycles
- A sky dimension
- Tools and resources
- Potential multiplayer
- Customizable world sizes for normal and segmented worlds
- Additional biomes
Feedback Request:
I would love to hear your thoughts and feedback on Terra Uncharted! Specifically, I'm looking for input on:
- Game Mechanics: Are the current mechanics engaging? What changes or additions would you suggest?
- Graphics: How do you find the visual style and graphics? Any improvements or changes needed?
- World Layers and Biomes: Do you find the concept of different layers and biomes interesting? What additional layers or biomes would you like to see?
- Crafting System: Is the crafting system intuitive and fun? Any suggestions for improvement?
- Future Features: What features are you most excited about? Are there any other features you think should be added?
Your feedback is invaluable as I continue to develop and refine Terra Uncharted. Thank you for your time and support!

Update beta 0.7 Introduced
This update brings two new layers to the game:
- Blackstone Layer: This new layer is composed of a new type of stone with a polished purple color.
- The Underworld: Located beneath the Blackstone layer, the Underworld introduces a new ground type, new stone type, new trees, three new kinds of plants, and new caves featuring a new type of vine. It also adds lava, making the Underworld’s diverse and treacherous terrain difficult to traverse.
Additionally, this update introduces Sectional Worlds, allowing multiple worlds to be stitched together. The world size has been increased to 255 by 255 tiles, and with sectional worlds, you can now have a world that is 1020 by 255 tiles.
Other notable changes include:
- New cave types and new backgrounds that change based on depth.
- Increased cave size and frequency.
- Randomized layer generation for the top and bottom of each layer.
- A new small cavern that spans the entire world, located between the third layer and the Underworld.
- I have also removed the lighting system because it caused to much lag
Please note that with the addition of so much new content and larger worlds, world generation will take longer. On a gaming computer, generating Sectional Worlds takes approximately 3 minutes and 30 seconds. For smaller, less powerful devices, it will take longer, so please be patient.
Finally, this update also includes various bug fixes and texture changes to enhance your gaming experience.
