This game looks pretty fun but whenever I try to forage it won't let me. I'm most likely doing something wrong but just in case.

Hey the game is pretty cool, even funny at times but I have a queestion. I saved my game at lets say ex moment in the story; I ended up completing it fully to where Liza and my character are getting prepared to get married. Do I have to start all the way back where I saved prior or can I resume from where the game capped off?
