Thank you for rating the game, but because you gave it a 3/5, what did you dislike about the game? Do you have any suggestions for making the game better?

A few people have voiced the same concern about the tutorial and I'll definitely make it more easily accessible in later versions.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Once again, thank you so much for the feedback on the video!
Yes, I do think having the plugs spawn at the bottom would be much better, I just haven't gotten to reworking that part because it's a bit complicated.

Thank you for the feedback!
To be fair, I think switching scenes is a lot faster on the downloadable version and I am currently working to streamline the process.

Thank you for the clarification. I totally understand why the tutorial was not so informative and some things are a little weird since you guys only had like a week!

Very nice and short game!
It took me a while to figure out that I had a list of rooms to visit because it wasn't directly stated in the game and was only on itch.io. I was just running around trying to open every door lmao

A few bugs/possible issues I found:
1. If I am walking when the game ends, the walking sound will continue to play
2. The starting timer says 2:00 until it magically changes to 3:12

Overall a great concept. I'm not a big fan of speedrunning games (and I type kinda slow), but this was fun!

I'm glad you liked the game!
I am aware of the UI covering issue, and I actually had a fix in place, but then forgot to add it back after I changed some internal code.
Thank you for the feedback!

Those are all excellent ideas, thank you so much!

For the hint system, I'm currently thinking of giving away the position of a random plug for each hint, based on the canon solution. If you have a different idea in mind, please let me know!

Thank you for the feedback!
I'll definitely make the tutorial better as time passes; the current only explains the basics, and I made it quickly as a concept.

What did you think was hard to understand? Since this is a puzzle game, it sometimes makes sense for certain parts of the game to be hard to understand. I just want to make sure I'm not overcorrecting with how much the tutorials explain!

I entered my name, pressed enter, pressed save, and it doesn't seem to save correctly, so I think there's a slight issue with it.

Either way, if you have time, please do provide feedback on my game (Cable Conundrum) from the Give and Get Feedback jam!

Hey, Warden Creations here from the Give & Get Feedback jam!

Artwork:

The artwork is very nice, but the contrast between the pixelated background and the items throws me off a little bit. Otherwise, I think everything fits nicely together. Great job!

Mechanics:

Very simple, but it might be best if the clickable items are highlighted/easily visible before you hover over them (unless it's like an easter egg or something) to make it less tedious for those who just want to enjoy the story.

Mechanical issues:

1. The green button on the starting page does not show up unless you go in fullscreen mode (probably make the UI canvas scale with screen size and not constant!!)
2. The "clean another room" button sometimes doesn't work and I have to click it multiple times, but it only seems to happen after the first full playthrough and on the last scene
3. You shouldn't be able to click on other items during dialogue
4. The fridge image and the item next to it were too close and I managed to click on both at the same time, so I skipped the entire dialogue for the other item

Story:

I understand that the story is still in development, but I don't quite understand why Maria decided to clean the entire house and not just her own room. The main motivation from the beginning was only to clean up the holiday gifts, but then she goes around the house and cleans up everything anyway. I'm sure that as development progresses the story will make more sense, but that's just my first impressions of what there is so far. And there are a few spelling and grammar mistakes here and there, but nothing game-breaking.

I'm personally not a visual novel enjoyer, but I think the game would be much more appealing once your team adds more story elements into the game (such as a strong motive to clean the house, possibly a pet cat/dog, funny moments, sad moments, etc.) Either way, this is a great game that has a lot of potential, and I'll rate it a 5/5!

(side note: you should probably make a feedback form in Google Forms or something if you want others to give this much feedback because normal people are definitely not writing this much in a comment)

If you have time, please check out my game submission for the Give & Get Feedback jam called Cable Conundrum! Thanks!

Yes the undo button will definitely be added, but I'm reworking some core areas of the code so I haven't gotten to it yet.
I appreciate the feedback!

I had the same thought as I was making the game, but I've designed a few levels that are actually quite challenging and using mechanics that aren't in the beta yet.
Thank you for the feedback!

Fun game!
I could see a progression system that allows players to unlock the other tanks and maybe even upgrade them/parts of them.
I think the clothes icon can be misleading for the tank selection page because it implies that we're only changing the tank's appearance

Overall, a nice and polished game, 5/5!

A very fun game, great job!

Here are a few suggestions/issues I have:
1. Upgrading an item brings me back to the first item in the list, which can get annoying

2. My gun got a little too strong and started killing monsters off-screen and I can't collect their loot. Maybe make the loot always drop inside the map even if the monsters die outside

3. Once I hit late game, it got annoying to start at level 1 again. It would be nice if there was a way/item you could buy that skips to harder levels

4. It would be cool if the dropped items had differently colored glows to represent their rarity

Overall, a very solid game. I'm actually quite interested in its development, 5/5!

Very nice game!
I find the invincibility power-up a little pointless though because I think getting to it is probably harder than the 5 seconds after. Also, the bullets sometimes deflect off my shield and into myself, which might be a bug that is worth fixing (maybe once a bullet bounces off the shield, it simply cannot do damage). The scoreboard also didn't seem to add my score to it, but I'm sure that's because it needs to be manually updated.

Overall, a great game! It has some nice music too, 5/5!

Really nice game! I'm not a big fan of platformers but this game was actually quite fun to play!

I did manage to find a game-breaking bug though. On the moving platform level, I dashed into the checkpoint in such a way that I kept being respawned and falling off the map every time.

Other than that issue, this is a great game! 5/5

Great concept, obviously it got a bit repetitive once I figured out the controls, but I can see the hunger/thirst mechanic being used in a larger game.

the fish catching button text was a bit misleading because I thought I could not catch a fish, but it only says that because the button is on cooldown. Maybe you can change it to something like "A fish was caught" so the player knows the action was successful.

Overall, a nice game 5/5!

I'm glad you enjoyed the game! I'll be working on some aesthetics and animations for now, but I do already have many ideas for future levels!
