The game's atmosphere is quite good, they do a great job of creating a feeling of oppression and despair to escape. However, there are a few aspects that could be improved, mainly for quality of life:
- The flashlight could play a more decisive role in the game. I would remove the need for it to run out of power, leaving the option to turn it on and off but adding enemy behavior based on whether it is on or off, giving it a real usefulness in the gameplay.
- Improve the spatial location of enemies, either by improving 3D sound or adding proximity indicators like Dead Trigger does.
- Add small clues to what to do to pass the room, from the basic way of adding them to the HUD, character comments, or in some other way that the player knows more or less what to do.
- Try to disguise the counter, although this is more a matter of personal opinion, look for a different way to make the player understand that they need to hurry up, maybe a sound that accelerates over time, or suddenly make there be more enemies the more time passes, this last one they could do per room, so that the disguised counter is per room.
Overall, the gameplay, atmosphere, and idea seem very good, it's just a matter of polishing what they already have, very good work :D
