the game still need lots of balance, please note that balancing it takes time, i do agree that the current version does have issues from 150-200 where normal enemies have powers of boss dungeon monsters.

as you level up, your spells and skills get stronger, and the reflect damage increase. there will be ways to reduce the counter chance of an enemy. Also remember that there are "2" different skill types, magic and physical. if an enemy got a good magic counter chance it might have a bad physical counter chance. But i might work on some code to scale the counterchance based on a maidens level (so that an stronger maiden wont be countered) 

Shadowfall forest is the name of the whole zone. (Spectral forest etc is inside of Shadowfall forest).

you might want to check out the Inn/Tavern in the Village

It is in the game, East of Main City there is a small new brdige you can cross. there you find the new zone.

not all maiden have the chance to become strong. in some situations they do have their use.

yes, there will be shops for it. but for now you have to farm slime monsters for elemental dust.

As for the next update, we’re actively working on it, but the speed of development is largely influenced by the level of support we receive. Right now, we're not quite where we need to be in terms of resources to move as quickly as we'd like.

you can only find one half of it and its in the same cave as the maiden asking for it. just solve the teleportation puzzle.

you have to beat Kraken first. your Maidens will get a blue buff (this protect them from water magic making Magurs finishing strike weaker). make sure to have a very strong tank maiden and after the enemy focus the tank maiden use guard with her. a healer with the ability to revive is also recomendet. 

Windy plateau in the snow land. when entering the snowland go left on world map. until you get to an open place with a little hill. the hill will get you to windy plateau

the save will work yes. you only have to copy the content of the "save" folder. into the new save folder.
