There is a piece of artwork by René Magritte called "The Treachery of Images." It's a painting of a pipe, with the caption "this is not a pipe" underneath.
Magritte meant to convey that it could not be the item, as it was merely an image. A facsimile. It could not be what it was not, and could only be what it was.
This is not a game.
But it should be.
