Thank you so much for giving Wintersdawn a play, IndieJunkie! I don't speak Turkish unfortunately so I wasn't able to follow along with your commentary, but I caught a few things here and there :)

Aw, thank you for giving the game a play, Sarabi! I'm really glad you enjoyed it! :)

We've been kicking the idea around, yeah! We're less than a year out from our last Kickstarter (for a printed version of Volume 2 of the comic) but I know we'd love to find a way to do more of this sort of thing. And if we do, we'd absolutely be down for an interview!

That's awesome, CrypticHybrid! Thanks so much for posting this playthrough! We'd love to expand this into a larger game, or do more smaller games in the same world. Taking down that treewalker for real would be a pretty big deal! :)

We've certainly dabbled in prose stories (most recently a short story on the Western Deep website from last week that gives a bit more context of Wintersdawn's story for long-time readers) but we've also managed to produce physical printed books of Volumes 1 and 2 of Western Deep for two separate Kickstarter campaigns :) Hopefully we can get a proper online store squared away for anyone interested!

Hi Muhkat! Short answer: Yes!

The longer answer: Wintersdawn in the Deep takes place in the same world as our webcomic, Beyond the Western Deep (www.westerndeep.net)which was absolutely inspired by our love for the Redwall series, alongside graphic novels like Mouse Guard and films like The Dark Crystal.

We're proud to announce the release of our very first PC title, Wintersdawn in the Deep, a short adventure game based on the all-ages fantasy webcomic Beyond the Western Deep.

Some features and cool facts!

  • A ~30 minute adventure inspired by classic Sierra/LucasArts point-and-clicks and classic all-ages fantasy stories like Redwall!
  • Available for "Pay What You Want!"
  • Scripted by Guild Wars 2, Armello, and Dust: An Elysian Tail writer Alex Kain
  • Orchestral score written by Star Wars: The Clone Wars composer Nolan Markey
  • Featured woodwinds by Kristin Naigus (Ori and the Will of the Wisps, The Pathless, and more)

You can check out the all-ages webcomic the game is based on at www.westerndeep.net!
