Thank you, Andrew! We're so close to the full release and I can't wait to get it out there to everyone.

So when I made the jam I'd thought I set the deadline at 12:00pm (midnight) on the 31st. Turns out I was super wrong!
Ignore that it says it's over and keep working! In fact, to me, it doesn't matter if you've met this deadline and created a full game or just got a few sentences written down. What's important is you started thinking about game design and hopefully found what does and doesn't work for you. This jam is more about discovery than completion.
Thank you to all who signed up and I hope you gained something from it. I look forward to seeing what everyone came up with whether finished or not.
Let's Go!
It's officially the first day of the Game Jam! Summer Camp 2024 has begun. If you're not in the Discord yet I encourage you to sign up as it'll be a great place to discuss your ideas and support others in the same process as you. Game design doesn't have to be lonely work. In fact, some of my best stuff has come out of talking with other designers. If you're still hunting for an idea this could be the place to help nail things down.
Have Questions?
If you need clarification on anything please, please ask. While the SRD is as comprehensive as it can be, there may still be unclear areas. If I'm aware of where those are I can fix it and it'll help everyone involved. This is the first stress test of the document so your input can have a large impact on its future.
Not A Race
I just want to leave off that remember, this is not a race but a marathon. Take your time and find enjoyment in the process, not in the end product. A part of fun of game design is the discovery process. It's those little moments of "AHA!" when you break through a problem and the flood gates of creativity open. Let yourself be open to all of the possibilities. But none of that can happen if you're sprinting the entire time. Leave time for the slow moments.
OK, campers lets start jamming!
That's so awesome to hear! I love the inclusion of the minifigs. I've done the same with my son using his Minecraft LEGO sets.
And if auto-hit worked for your table then it sounds like a great way to play it. I know a lot of games do that these days and I think it's a great way to keep momentum up. Also, good skill to learn in that it's OK to run away!
Hope y'all have many more sessions ahead of you.
