I have the most experience in godot, and python and I want to start a side scrolling game how would one set up the scrolling feature?

My idea would be to set the X variable for the background to a variable and change it based on players position but I'm not sure if this is the best way to go about it

Description: I got the idea from my sister and then ran with it.  It took just over 24 hours to create assets and all!  Click the Gem to get Green Gems 1 click = 1 Green Gem, 1k Clicks = 1 Red Gem, and 10k Clicks = 1 Blue Gem and there are 12 Auto Clicker Purchases you can make 4 to each respective colored Gem

Let me know what you guys think, I had made a version timed but i think I deleted it on accident :( 

W A S D to move and Space bar to shoot, Mouse to aim.. You will have more and more enemies spawn for each level but watch out DO not let them hit the ground or YOU! As if it hits the ground your score Drops and the Screen Shakes! Else if they hit you You Explode and the screen shakes returning you to the title screen where you can get your recent score and how many ships you have missed! Full sound!

I might add other types of enemies in the future let me know how you all like this! :)

Started in computer graphics about a decade ago making video game assets for my friend and I's games but now I am in college and work as a pressmen full time and Develop Games and Software as well as make Art/Graphic designs for them and all sorts of things I have my own website I have developed and update semi regularly 

haha It is a really simple game, but actually kind of hard. I will add a time feature later! :)
