The issue lies in how the image is being projected—it doesn't cover the entire screen. In other words, the computer doesn't recognize it as being in full-screen mode. You can resolve this (using my current method) by pressing F11 or accessing the options menu and selecting the "Full Screen" option. Optionally, you could also add a frame around it for better aesthetics.
