I think you did a good job of portraying the unfairness of working on a ship if you are a woman, especially if you are not a doctor but a sailor like Samuel. I think that she and Rajeeyah, who faced unfairness on the ship, could not tolerate unfairness for no reason towards MC, so they went against Arthur and stood up for him.
