A simple yet fun game! I wasn't expecting the boat upgrades, but when it happened I felt a little glee. I was then set on getting all the upgrades!
Possible updates for more stages would have the garbage move around, maybe some of the stuff near the beach wash up on shore if you don't get to it in time.
Otherwise it was fun, and had me playing till the end.
I have to agree with @Kritzlof. The inverted controls were difficult to use. I also found myself wondering around following the arrows before I even realized there was text at the bottom for dialog.
I see the story starts to dig into the environmental issues, but I can't help but wonder if this was simply tacked onto an existing prototype game, or was it built specifically for this Jam?
