It's probably because it's the standard size for RPGMaker. You can correct this by changing the ratio of the windows in the game.ini file. WindowedRatio=1 is the normal size, changing for WindowedRatio=2 will make the windows twice the size for exemple.
I get the same issue, may be because your windows account name has a non-UTF8 character (char like éèàùïü ... )
Best way to solve this is to use another Windows user with no special character, and put your save on this user. The folder with the save files should be here : C:\Users\[username]\AppData\Roaming\RenPy\ (the AppData folder is hidden by default)
Last update(windows version) have a glitch when the windows account name have a non-UTF8 char (may be a renpy bug, I ve seen other renpy game having the same trouble).
If your saves don't work with the 0.15 update, try using another windows user.
Really a great game, unfortunatly for me, saving doesn't work. Seems to be a bug/bad config/missing directory from the renpy framework (exception : no valid save location), I've tried to find what happened in the code, but no luck so far. If you know how to repair this , thanks!
