This was an absolute blast to play through. Felt more like a sexy queer vampire comic book, I see what you were going for ;)
I enjoyed the game so much I wrote a review on it! Check it out here: https://open.substack.com/pub/beanstalkorigins/p/game-review-the-ruby-court?r=1i...

Thank you!! I had so much learning about the history and inspiration behind the game!
I would love to talk about your process and get to know more if you're interested! Email me at beanstalkorigins@gmail.com

I had a ton of fun playing this game, I love comic book meets escape room games. I think it was really approachable and  stimulating. And that sound design? WOW. I also wrote a game review on my log if you'd like to read it! https://beanstalkorigins.substack.com/p/game-review-a-night-at-the-watermill

Little Glenda the Ghost Hunter is precious. I think Roger did an amazing job honoring the original game cartridge art and I had a lot of fun playing this mini adventure. I wrote a game review if you would like to check it out!

I adored this game, I think Sourencho did an incredible job designing the gameplay within the limitations of PICO-8. I would love to see more of this. I wrote a little game review on it if you want to check it out!

Major kudos to your development and work on the game. I think with some more time and a bit of polishing, this can become a truly bite-sized enjoyable gaming experience. I think it would be really worthwhile to provide some introduction and or direction for gamers, especially those more unfamiliar with navigating pc formats when that might not be their normal playable console.

I found the sounds score, color palate, and flexibility in the game while executing cottage core art style elements - really brought together a cozy element. Personally, I would love to be able to play inside the Unexpected School!! It has so much potential!!

Thanks for the experience and good luck.

Just finished playing your game - good job creating this in just under a three week time period.

The mechanics of the game tested me and definitely made it difficult, found myself yelling at the screen more than once (hah).

I really liked the subtle change of the music score as you gained a new flight skill.

I noticed in the download that you were working on a patch for the PWM, might want to check out that the game glitches when you get stuck in corners/ fly straight into corners; the music drops off and a loud kicking noise enters the headphones.

Thanks for the experience, good luck in Big Mode Game Jam!
