Good idea!

I'm going to add  A and D as alternatives to Left and Right arrow.

I'm still working on the game & it's almost finished. More news coming soonish.

Pretty complex to explain!

All of my car physics are based off of this old article: https://asawicki.info/Mirror/Car%20Physics%20for%20Games/Car%20Physics%20for%20G...

Especially the part Slip ratio and traction force relates to how tires interact with the floor.

Oooh neat!!

Yeah I've been enthralled with physics games every since like, I think it was Boom Blox on the Nintendo Wii?

And before that I also loved racing games, I basically grew up playing Driver 1 and 3 and 4

Thanks!

Yeah physics games are my specialty!

My current long-term project is Zeepkist, which is also a racing game! https://store.steampowered.com/app/1440670/Zeepkist

I'm thinking something along the lines of Driver

I don't have a super lot of time to dedicate to this project though, as I've got other games I'm still working on. So I'll mostly be fiddling with this every now and then to try out some new stuffs.

(1 edit)

secret dev cheat code: hold 1 and press = while driving

lol oof

Hey good catch!

I disagree with "sloppy" though, it's the same button as anywhere else and all the other buttons don't have this issue.

I'm going to look into what's causing this.

Any news on the disc room copies for all the entrants? :D

"Bobstudios" is what I always called my "studio" that I'd just made up. Eventually I decided to stop doing that and just post stuff under my real name.

Oh my god, thank you so much :D

The competition is fierce, though! There's a LOT of great games that have entered 🤯

Ah yeah that makes sense, I'm sorry you feel that way. Should've probably mentioned that somewhere.

I actually tried an automatic follow camera at first, but it became really difficult to accurately see where enemies would come from, so eventually I went for the GTA style camera where you could just look around.

Here ya go!

Tell you what, I'm gonna try and see if that works! No promises!
