I still have no clue what happened to the developer (UAB Productions) and their Patreon, but I did have a love for this game and follow its development closely before the abrupt disappearance.

For the sake of people being aware of things, I’ll say this much from my Patreon emails (that I hope isn’t more than the dev would’ve wanted said):

• Patreon sent me the dreaded “Membership Pause Notification” email on 11/1/2023, saying “UAB Productions paused their creator page to ensure you wouldn’t be charged today.”
• The last post (8/29/2023) was titled “Progress!” with a screenshot of the current state of the WTV’s remake. The graphics were reworked, the animations returned (🥳 For those who don’t know, every character model in v0.2 had a smoothly looped animation for every pose they took… even during dialogue. It was quite refreshing and completely unexpected.), the story was completely restructured with professional help, a new menu was made, and the dev seemed to seriously consider renaming the game at that point. This was also the last day I heard from them directly. o_o
• “Update number 5” was expected to release on 8/7/2023, but I guess didn’t (since I didn’t download it) for reasons my emails don’t show.
• The 7/18/2023 post titled “New game coming soon!” was a screenshot showing characters from the next game, which was delayed for reasons, planned to have hella animations too (but better), and music for each character.
• The 7/17/2023 post (possibly my favorite post) titled “Possible new character!” showcased quite an addition to the harem (let’s just say) along with 2 separate routes.
• Update #4 (the latest version I have) was expected to release either very late July or early August. Considering my “WelcometoVaniar-0.4-pc” folder’s creation date is 8/1/2023, I’m guessing that’s the date it released.

That all being said, I do hope the dev is well & good. They made something wonderful here (see my review below) that would’ve pushed visual novels forward had it become popular. Now it’ll barely be a hidden gem considering the Patrons are likely the only ones to ever experience the latest released version (0.4). And no, I won’t be sharing it since it was sold by an indie developer who never gave indication they’d be okay with such actions. Contrarily, my mind would change if someone provided proof that the dev was either 1) okay with it or 2) deceased.

Truth be told, y’all? Part of me wishes I paid atleast 5x as much a month.

The sight of a baby in an adult visual novel is… new. Mildly concerning. But quite interesting. Like, will we just witness more adulting and parenting parts of life (e.g.: moms finding a babysitter and needing to leave a date early, breastfeeding, etc.)?

v1.0 (NewGrounds​) Review

Entertaining conversations, kinda silly plot, tsundere-eque character, and very enjoyable horny stuff.

Really appreciate her looking 18+. Wouldn’t have played it otherwise.

edit: I should add for others, this does not depict realistic sex scenes and only one(?) is explicitly consentual. The massages, however, are atleast implicitly consentual. 🤷🏿‍♂️

Also, if you like hate fucks and a woman who (acts like she) hates you, this’ll be great.

Plot’s a bit interesting, the characters are more interesting, the horn horn’s pretty hot sometimes, the choices are nice, and the system (Main Story, Map, and Journal)’s kinda refreshing.

Good enough in its current state for some relatively quick horn horn (compared to adult visual novels).

v0.3.2 (2023/07/13) Review:

Disclosure: I’m basically a fan and have been providing error logs (along with general feedback) on Patreon for some time now.

This game’s pretty great. It starts off feeling like some typical power fantasy bs with a singular love/sex interest and a few plot holes here and there. Then, suddenly, it starts to bloom ever so slowly into what might be a helluva story. Some serious “tune in next time” shit without the social embarrassment of saying those words outloud.

I’m not gonna spoil anything. Just take the game’s Description and screenshots into account and ask yourself, “Will I enjoy this game if the fairly simple teen-ass story turns into something more than expected?”

​Notables:

• too many routes & paths to count; my god
  • i made a flowchart based on my notes and counted :x
  • So far, I’ve experienced 8 routes (characters) and 9 paths across them, and still have 2 characters to go. Shit’s great.
  • routes are very much separated, so you’ll get a drastically different experience based on the one you chose… and accidentally switch over to another without realizing it 😐 🥳
• a story that’s like a 5 course meal in that you’d have to atleast try everything before you knew anything… let alone came to an accurate conclusion about it >.>
• there are most definitely bad routes & paths, so enjoy seeing where your decisions lead you

…What’s the special price point?

People don’t seem to understand what this game is. By buying it on itch.io, you’re purchasing a collection of specific sex scene renders voted on by Patrons. They’re interesting. Some are hot (to me), others are interesting. Just took a bit to get used to navigating it. The title screen’s main menu is not reflective of the content within, though, so don’t sweat it… but maybe prepare your eyes for hella brightness.

tl;dr: It’s a high quality showcase that Patrons get to vote on.
