Its not. It's just like a light novel. A 'visual' novel if you will. And honestly kinetic ones are the best imho.  I'd be surprised if you can name me any good VN on here with meaningful choices. Most writers seem to include a few meaningless ones here and there or use it to select a character to date.

Yes I'm actually of a similar opinion that RNG unlocks are a bit of an annoyance, I may try to adapt it so that once unlocked, the area is removed from the RNG pool.
