It was a fun little challenge, and getting the basic look is actually pretty easy if you know some CSS. We sadly ran into some trouble with all the added media, especially the videos we use within the game, since not all browsers seem to be equipped to handle them equally well, so we will probably switch to another engine for the full release. For any game that doesn't heavily feature videos like that I would probably still choose Twine over something like Renpy though. It's a lot more work up front, but it also offers a lot more flexibility in the end.

Hey - just wrapped up working on the Spooktober jam with some great people, so now I'm just looking if somebody is in need of a last-minute-teammate here.
Just had my first dip into writing a visual novel last month - and also did the coding for this VN style Twine game: https://wolfg4m3r.itch.io/skin-deep - now I'm looking to gather more experience, and would be happy to collaborate with some people around here. Before this I mainly wrote short horror stories (https://www.reddit.com/user/HelloHelloHelpHello/submitted/), but I always enjoyed dabbling in romance and drama at the side, even though I never really posted the results.
Would be happy to hear back from anybody here, or via Discord (ydn0492).
Hey - I don't have much experience when it comes to creating games, but I'd be happy to collab if you are still looking for teammates. I'm good enough with Twine/html/CSS to whip up a decently looking visual novel in there, but have basically no programming knowledge outside of that. Other than that I used to write horror short stories over at nosleep (https://www.reddit.com/user/HelloHelloHelpHello/submitted/), and would be happy to put some work in as a writer.
Would be happy to hear back from you if you think there might a position on the team.
