So the goal of the game is to eat food and make it back to your home base so that you can reproduce and get a mutation to help your survive in the next day. If you become strong enough, you can attack the village of humans and restore order to your slime world. Looks like you're a fellow slimer so we'll be sure to check your game out as well :)
You need 8 food to survive to the next day, and the E key is used to enter your home and eat food.
