SUMMER SALE 2024 (only participating for the final 16 hours)
I had a July 4 sale but no Itch.IO summer sale participation was set up until now. All my stuff both existing and for the next 18 months is included in this bundle, amounting to thousands of hours of work from a genuine indie solo developer for other developers and ultimately also game players.
My account contains a bunch of asset packs for game devs, many released and downloadable, often with massive amounts of material and more added occasionally over time. This now includes thousands of texture image files (PBR textures, seamless tiling, built from real world photography) plus decals, mobile or web 3d ready 3d assets efficiently UV mapped, in the very commonly used .FBX and .OBJ formats. There are also some VFX elements though these are often my weaker stuff at the moment because the resolution of the recorded material is limited and the camera gear used is old by modern standards, a lot of it dates back about a decade.
Across much of this, there are freebies but buying everything together is not far off from free, indeed a bundle of all my content is priced on sale right now at $1.97.
I have about three hundred more 3d assets planned in updates the rest of this year plus major texture collection overhauls and additions, and new VFX elements including some really large scale 4k realistic digital simulations. I think the total improved/new asset pack file count will be approx. 1900 between now and end of 2024. So a lot of additions and updates on existing sets, and also new collections going live.
But there are also several asset packs included that aren't downloadable yet, and are being completed, made available over the summer, along with more updates to existing collections.
There are also some indie minigames in the mix and those are still in development, stages range from 'almost done, needs debugging' to '50-80% finished, need additional levels or features assembled and then debugged.' Some of these have been slowly moving forward for a few years now. Any early supporters will be super helpful in getting them all moving a little faster, but even if nobody assists here they'll still all be done in the next year or so. Some as early as the end of Summer 2024 even.
If a gamedev project is 30-45 days from release the teaser pages will likely see full blown Steam pages, website designs, all showing up online, and that is an indicator that the project is really, really close. I will only do that if all critical issues are fixed and the game is playable start to end, with only a few small identified bugs remaining. It is not the case yet for any of these, but one small side thing in particular might now be a week or two from that point. (Crowdsourced Adventure, a spinoff of Astounding Worlds and included with that one.) The smallest games are 'Matthew's Minigames' and thus there are four there and all simple little experiments, will all be short in length, limited scope. And two others (Miniature Minigolf, Miniature Multiverse) are bigger, more ambitious, each with 3-4 months work left to go minimum. It is unlikely they'll be fast to get done, maybe one by end of 2024 and the other by spring/summer 2025, depending on how things are arranged. Both of those are legitimately made using charming handmade miniature art for the visuals. Both have a final few setups still being implemented.
Basically a lot of this should be pretty exciting.
As usual, any purchases will help, so will ratings, reviews, helpful comments and ideas for types of things you wish to see included or added. I am open to considering such requests if they fit the topic of a particular 3d pack. They can and do affect some of what ends up later being added. Questions posted in comment sections are also welcome, I will try to answer those. Similarly, if you find a bug or similar, let me know so I can fix it. This happened with a glitch on some .OBJ files early on and was since fixed and has been good on all models ever since, and it would not have been solved had someone not pointed out the issue in the comments and let me know there was a problem with some of the files.
So to that person, to all buyers so far, all followers on itch, and all who have posted encouraging feedback in any form from comments to star ratings, thank you all so much!
