I'm doing what I can to get as much updated, new material posted by the sale timeframe. Either by its start, middle, or end, but definitely a fair bit before the sale's over.
At this moment I have about a dozen asset packs with actual released content including dozens of VFX elements, over 2000 PBR texture files for use in 3d, and several hundred 3d models textured, in .FBX and .OBJ format.
It's all bundled together right now at an unusually low price level not seen in over a year, just $1.33.
Odds are fairly solid about two hundred or more new asset files will be live by the end of this sale. Bringing the total asset pack file count included close to 4000. But this is an ongoing process and even after the sale is over more new material will continue to be added, either in updates to released listings or entirely new releases that previously only existed as 'preorder' asset packs or games.
Yes, some asset packs you see here are free or are paid but in a "preorder" state at the moment so that means in development but not fully developed enough to be worth posting just yet. Same with my indie games mostly, there are a handful in the works and in general each has around a month or two or maybe three of actual work left before it can be released, filling in this or that feature, fixing bugs, polishing places which still are not looking good enough.
A lot of that is in some sort of rotation. Any one project may be days, weeks or a couple months off, but that assumes I work only on that one thing til it is done, and in practice it rarely goes that way, as waves of Etsy orders slow the things here down, and different things here slow each other down. In practice pretty much everything seen here should be done and fully released by early 2026. Many things far sooner. Just know it is all still being worked on.
One recent thing released recently: the rather dramatic overhaul of the entire TACC2018 texture set. This was a 50+ hour effort involving improving and expanding an already popular batch of over 1100 texture maps and decals. And as I wrap those updates up... other things continue too. I have a set of 3d pack updates, a Halloween 3d pack going live and a European texture and 3d asset pack all about a week away from being posted.
Indeed by the time the sale actually starts some part of this may already be available and accessible. (I am writing on Oct. 15 and at time of writing these updates all are getting fairly close but not quite ready.)
In all the content here amounts to over 750 hours worked on asset packs and related stuff both available already and in development, and thousands of hours indie game dev on a range of projects which individually are now anywhere from 60-90% complete. I am hopeful 2024 will be a big deal for those following this profile on itch.io and 2025 even more so as much of this material becomes complete and available for download.
