would nVidia Tesla be a good investment?

wondering if I should get myself a used nVidia Tesla card, since they seem to have more CUDA cores per $ than most other nVidia cards in their price range (new or used).

of course, I'd then have to ditch my 1060 (would probably use it on my second PC for gaming) and need to figure out if an AMD card could be used alongside the Tesla in the same system without driver conflicts.

I don't think so. you can test tesla T4 with dain on google colab. it takes the same time to interpolate 720p as my 1060 6gb, 7 seconds each frame.

I use a Tesla K80 (2x Kepler GPUs 12GB Ram each) - ~$200 on ebay right now. I can simultaneously run DAIN on one GPU and Topaz Gigapixel Video on the other. ~3.5 sec/frame to interpolate SD video, ~1.7 sec/frame to upscale it to 960p. The computer uses a Ryzen 2400G so I can tell you you shouldn't have driver issues *IF* you install the AMD drivers first, Tesla second.
