Bought off of the RPG Maker Store

Hello, I actually bought the Visustella Resource Pack: Modern City off of the RPG Maker store. Was just wondering how I go about getting the updated assets when purchased through that method?

Developer

Hi there,

Unfortunately the licenses from RPG Maker Web and itch.io are two different products. As the RMWeb version is an RPG Maker only license that takes cuts for Degica, KDKW and Steam, and is also cheaper than the itch.io version, it is a separately published product that provides us with less revenue. Therefore the itch.io version of the product provides more benefits to the user such as being engine-free and receiving updates, in order to encourage users to buy their license directly through ourselves.

Sadly this means they are technically separate products, and the RMWeb version does not receive the same updates as the itch.io license. Sorry for any inconvenience this causes you.

:(

Would it be a big inconvenience to make the Modern City 1 updates also part of Modern City 2, so that Degica Customers wouldn't have to go through purchasing the same product (technically it's the same, just legally it's a different license which of course would stay intact) twice?

Modern City 1 and 2 are two different packs with different assets in them, so we wouldn't be able to add the MC1 updates to the MC2 pack, unfortunately.

Sorry for bothering. I was under the impression, that the update was necessary to use MC2 together with MC1... Dementia is really a curse :(...
