I can't figure out how to complete this task. Its in the afternoon, and I still have Linda in the kitchen. If it helps, I just finished the HJ scene. Do I need to continue getting relationship, although its sufficient? Or do the HJ scene again and again until something happens? Please Help!

If it is the scene I think you may be at, try asking her to follow you around the house. Also try scrolling down on the phone; some event require items around town, the phone will give you an idea of what item is needed.

Yeah, if there isn't a green text option in the dialogue options you need to have her follow you around the house, try going to different rooms of the house and then click the "Follow Me" icon again to see if further dialogue pops up (It will when you're in the right spot)
