The first time I used SS I found they are simply steerable in any direction at low speed which is not true satellite behavior. Wouldn't it be simpler to program, and more realistic, to launch into a simple sawtooth trajectory projected on the map? (Think: old Pong bouncing effect). Perhaps with a higher speed/smaller field of view, maybe with one-square nudges allowed, so as to escape overlapping coverage?
A like-minded developer - not me, I have no idea how! - could investigate this idea.
