Hey! I recently uploaded a WIP build of the demo of my new game Sidereum Nox! I would appreciate it if you could play it and give me your first impressions. It plays in browser so you don't have to download anything. Any advice is appreciated!

Hi! Version .2 is out, which includes a new boss fight as well as some music and bug fixes! I would appreciate it if you played it and let me know what works and what doesn't. It still plays in the browser, so no download necessary. Any advice is appreciated!

Your game looks nice! I hope good luck for you on your project.

There was a bug in the Edith battle, making her just stand still, not atacking me, as she should, and if I moved really next to her, I could deal damage without receiving any.

Also, I suggest adding more moves for the enemies, for example, a projectile that the slime could shoot, and a dash, that would make Edith move to the other side of the screen.

Thank you for your feedback and for playing it! I really appreciate it!

The standing still is actually a feature to make the battle a bit easier. It's supposed to function like a stun mechanic, meaning once you've dealt enough damage she would stand still for a few moments, but for now I made it random so that the fight is a bit easier. It looks broken because Edith currently does not have a resting animation, so when that gets taken care of hopefully it becomes a bit more obvious what the player is supposed to do.

As for not taking damage from her, that was also something intentional that I did for the time being, because I found that it became very hard to deal damage to Edith when touching her dealt damage. I'll probably increase the sword hitbox in a future update to solve both problems.

I like the idea behind your attacks, and I do plan on implement more attacks for Edith and the Slime. I want to add some form of aerial combat, so look forward to that in the future.

Also, may I ask how it felt to control Nox? Did the game feel too floaty or too rigid? Was it obvious how you were supposed to navigate the menu? Also, how easy/hard were the Slime and Edith fights?

Again, thank you for taking the time to play my game! I post updates on my twitter, so follow that to know when the next update is.

Hey! sorry for the late response.

I enjoyed controlling nox! His controls were nice, I had no problems controlling him.

About the difficulty, the slime was pretty easy, It died fast and didnt dealt much damage. And Edith had a good difficulty, but I think you should increase her life points just a little bit.

And again, good luck on your project!

Version .3 is now out! I added a new cave area, as well as a new aerial attack for Nox. I would appreciate any advice on how the cave is designed, combat, or anything else you can think of. Play it here: https://bridiogames.itch.io/sidereum-nox
