the guy in the basement and you switch bodies and then he locks you in the basement so that he can trap you because he knew you were gonna go there one day from the very beginning and save him so that he kills everyone in the game and kills himself so that you will be trapped in his body for the rest of the game and that explains that the genocide ending is the final ending more will be explained from later endings that takes place within this theory also him could be morshu dark side theory made by anormalguy also partially me at the end

yes

i have a theory in the video he uses undertale music alot and in the mystery ending it says stuff in wing dings who else speaks in wing dings a secret character you most likely know im talking about gaster but another thing that connects gaster is that in the files gaster is regarded as mystery man if it is gaster it would explain why they use the term mystery ending instead of secret and it refers to the character as him wich relates to how in undertale it never as been stated that his name was gaster but there was more like a cryptic code of secrets where you can peice them together to find out his name

I think a normal guys theory is better because it possible that him took your body and then killed everyone in town making genocide ending make sense

true but gaster is also heavily associated with sans who is the finale boss in the genocide route wich means he is still considered connected and gaster is thought to be stuck in some sort of void wich could mean the basement could represent it another thing is  that in one secret its known sans used to be a scientist and in other it also says gaster is one too,

of the dialog in the sans fight sans mention timelines which implies that he was a quantum scientist wich also can mean gaster was one too and it would make sense for a scientist to test things out in other planes of realitys so no harm comes to his reality right and in the game its implied that he "fell" in to his creation wich could mean a experiment with going to different timelines failed and he got stuck in the void.

and in undertale its apparent that monster could absorb human souls and it would make them gods so it also could mean with that power he used it to escape and kill everyone

this is in a different universe so i don't think that works plus you don't go to the void the place where gaster lives

i know im looking as the basement could represent the void and it is a different universe  but if my theory is true then it could be possible that gaster absorbs your soul

wait the update almost certainly proves its gaster morshu refers to the man as the man who speaks in hands or thats what the dialog you say to him says which is the exact same name one of the undertale secrets referd to him as so i think it means its gaster

well also that could be a reference though also undertale music sound good and wingdings is scary

true its just so far it looks more likely the gaster theory is true just because of how much more evidence points towards gaster

now jevil is added so yeah my theory is 99% right

welp i was closer then a normal guy itsvconfirmed that the man is a combo of gaster and rick astly so his name is rick gastly so my theory is half right

Holy that makes so much sense

Actually, in the progress of the true ending you will later discover that he is Rick Gasterly (Rick Ashley swapped with Gasters body)
