It will end up just being a magical hologram of swirly d, or perhaps a puppet, trust me. (don't actually trust me because I have no say-so on this cool game)

Swirly D isn't the only one. Maybe the blacksmith that looks like hulk Hogan could eventually decide he doesn't want to shrink your weapons anymore and choose to communicate this aggressively.
