so as soon as I start it I'm greeted with this message

"Apologies! An error has occurred. You may be able to continue, but some parts may not work properly.

Error [tw-user-script-0]: Unexpected token '='. Expected an opening '(' before a method's parameter list.."

and then this one

"Apologies! An error has occurred. You may be able to continue, but some parts may not work properly.

Error [StoryInit]: macro <<newinventory>> does not exist."

and well everything after that is basically this

Error: <<HomeMenuHeader>>: errors within widget contents (Error: macro <<BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <</BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <<BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <</BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <<BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <</BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <<BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <</BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <<BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <</BG>> does not exist; Error: macro <<BGROUNDBOTTOM>> does not exist; Error: <<if>>: bad conditional expression in <<if>> clause: undefined is not an object (evaluating 'State.variables.inventory.has'); Error: macro <</BGROUNDBOTTOM>> does not exist)

Disable your ad or script blocker, the game uses javascript and if you disable it, well, you'll get those errors.

Java is enabled, and any others that work like this one work fine. So any other ideas that could be preventing it from running on my end?

Every time I've seen this problem, it's some form of adblock or script blocking. Make sure those extensions are disabled, then reload the page.
