I’m Kris from Future Friends Games and Plant Based Gaming.
It’s no secret that the world is in immediate danger from climate change. You can’t switch on the TV, browse the internet or listen to the radio without being reminded how bad the situation is right now. Rising sea levels, global warming, forest fires, volcanic eruptions, entire species extinction. But there is still time to do something. While World Leaders have made their pledges following COP26, there is always more we can do.
We’re hoping you’ll join us in raising money for the World Land Trust, an international conservation trust working with a network of local partners around the world to save, protect and restore critically threatened habitat for wildlife, and in doing so, lock up carbon and address climate change. Its patrons include Britain's (maybe planet Earth's) most-loved Natural History filmmaker Sir David Attenborough, television presenter and naturalist Chris Packham CBE, wildlife presenter and adventurer Steve Backshall MBE and English cricketer David Gower OBE.
More specifically, we’re raising money for their Action Fund which enables them to act quickly, whenever and wherever urgent conservation action is needed.
The bundle will be pay-what-you-want with a minimum price of $5. The start date is planned for Monday 29th November and will run until Monday 6th December, to include Wildlife Conservation Day on December 4th.

We’ve already got over 30 games signed up to take part (including some well-known titles that we can’t talk about just yet!) but we’d love for you to get involved by submitting your itch game or project! To do this, please first read the FAQs below and if happy, email me (charitybundle@futurefriendsgames.com) with a link to your project/game here on itch the subject Line: World Land Trust Bundle Submission. I will review all submissions and get back to everyone.
If you do not email me, you will not be added.
You can also join me on the Plant Based Gaming Discord server where discussion channels are set up for all participants as well as a wider community of nature, gaming and nature gaming enthusiasts await.

---- Some important FAQs before you rush to email me ----
💚 Does my game need to have strong nature themes? No. The fact you want to take part and help raise funds to combat climate change is ideal. Of course, games with strong nature themes are VERY much welcome. It should also be noted that games that contain cruelty to animals or include wanton destruction of natural wildlife are not suitable for this sale.
💚 Can I submit a free game? Yes, of course. Although we do ask that you keep your submission to one free game/project.
💚 Can I submit non-games? Yes, any project is great!
💚 Can I submit Adult content? No. Similar to other charity bundles here on Itch, we want this bundle to be as accessible to as many people as possible. We would kindly ask you not to submit adult content.
💚 Can I submit my project after the bundle has started? Unfortunately, no. We’ll be working hard to get everything ready for Monday 29th and concentrating and focusing our efforts on ensuring we get the word out to raise awareness.
💚 Will Steam (or other external keys) be given with a purchase? No Steam (or other external) keys will be given for bundle purchases. Only direct downloads will be available on the itch.io page.
💚 Is the WLT aware of this bundle? Yes! 100% and extremely supportive. We’ve been talking to the charity for a number of weeks now and they are already super appreciative of all our efforts.
