Hello, I'm new to coding, I'm just trying to find my way around here, if you have any tips or recommendations for free softwares, honestly just any kind of help, I would appreciate it!

Unity, Unreal Engine or Godot?

Yes there are some free ones: https://alternativeto.net/software/rpg-maker/?feature=rpg-maker&license=free&p=2

I recommend this one: https://rpgmaker.net/games/2664/

It's the same like RPG Maker 2003 but better and not under control of RPG Maker company.

edit- Almost forgot, yes you can sell the game you made in RPG 20XX but art needs to be credit by their creators. You can replace the art and add your own if you want to.

There's a free version of GameMaker Studio 2 and a paid version, I use GameMaker Studio 2 and it's really good, Also there's a full tutorial series on youtube that has you make an RPG in GMS2, I'm following through it and you learn alot of good stuff. I hear Godot is really good too and it's completely free.

Paper RPG Maker on Steam is also totally free for non-commercial projects. You can use it for free until you decide you want to market and sell your game. It's basically all the simplicity of RPG Maker except free. If you learn RPG maker (and if you haven't yet, why not? It's probably the absolutely easiest place to learn basic game development in my opinion) then you'll find the interface and engine is almost identical. It also does that Paper-Mario-Esque 2.5D RPG thing really well and, well, that's a big awesome free feature that hasn't run out of novelty or cool factor yet
