Hi!
I am looking for a 3D artist, whom are preferably also able to do animations.
What I would offer you is a rev share. Which can later be changed to a paid role for a
future project if things go well. The game will be released for PC on Steam first, for then to apply for a
Playstation and/or XBox release if things go well.
What I need is this:
- You can use any tools you want to, but in the end the skeletons must be compatible with Unreal Engine.
- Good English is a must, so that we can make ourselves easily understood through the process.
- From decent to great skills in regards to 3D modelling. The most important thing is that you are determined to learn, and able to catch on rather well to new ideas if you do not have experience with it already.
- A bonus, would be skills in regards to designing/drawing 2D widget graphics.
- Another bonus would be a love for funk music, as that is the general mood of the game. Think space, silver and glam.
- Some Unreal Engine knowledge regarding meshes and materials are preferred. Though I will happily help you to get started with it if needed.
What I will offer you
- I have well over a decade of experience with C++
- You will get a part of the total income, depending on amount of work put into the project. Will discuss this.
- I work around 70 hours( for a long time now ) per week honing my Unreal Engine skills, and work on this game
- The game itself is well under way. A lot of the main features( tech tree and mechanism, time system, some fighting mechanics, dialogue options, player/spaceship stats, HUD's) are already implemented, just lacking the right graphics.
- I have a 8 pages Game Developer document ready. It is not completely done yet re all details, but it will be soon.
The project page in develteam: https://www.develteam.com/Game/Mystery-Project
The project log on Itch.io: https://anders543210.itch.io/mystery-project/devlog/318124/mystery-game
The game has for now the name Mystery Project aka Home is where the heart is. It is a fast paced 3D action/strategy/space exploration game. It is a first person game mainly, but with 3’rd person cameras available.
You can travel to new planets( if you know their location ), and settle colonies there. Having a main spaceship,
which can be upgraded until it becomes a very large base. You have research and building available to expand and improve your spaceship stats. There are XP and skillpoints acquired in the game, that can be used for upgrading the stats of the character.
In addition to that you will also have the ability to buy/sell goods to people on a planet, or to trader spaceships you meet out in space.
There will be fights against enemy spaceships in space, or a management type of game inside the spaceship, where you control your research building of modules, your crew, which can be upgraded to a court that would make you able to create a society in your expanding space ship( or rather space base ).
This might sound a bit too wide a scope at first. But most of these functions and ideas have already been implemented and tested in Unreal Engine. I’m more of a programmer than a presenter, so if you get in touch with me, I would be sure to explain and show the technical bits a lot better.
That said, it is not a small hobby project, and a year or so may be required before a release. The purpose of this project is to simply enough make money for a living, and to establish a game producers company. The company the game is released on is called Secret Studios, although I will not advertise it as a proper company which I am the CEO of quite yet. A game developer company is something that is already earning money, and we are not there yet.
With me, I also have a very good musical artist for now, a recognized Norwegian artist with a some official releases. And also having an extra, specific story writer in mind.
I am working on this game, 7 days a week, to get it done and released, but I really need your help for the
graphics.
Will definitively look into a collaboration for future projects too.
Get in touch with me here, or at my Discords at NankerPhelge#0793
All the best,
Anders
