First off, building starbases/outposts and scrapping them immidiently gives out a huge amount of money, you can essentially support an infinite amount of fleets with a "starbase farm" as i would say 馃槀
next up is the empire morale system, when losing a system/getting it bombarded to oblivion gives a -10 morale on ALL other systems, and if the morale is too low the system will break away, and if a system breaks away it gives ANOTHER -10. So by attacking 5-10 systems at the very same moment, you can essentially cause a cascade of systems breaking off due to low morale and the AI cant do shit about it, ive used it twice by now and its guranteed to work 馃槀馃槀
Even though this game came out a long time, to this day i still enjoy it, hopefully the dev is still around in itch 鉂わ笍
