Ship types, gun targeting, and more dynamic crew

First off I have to say that I have no idea how sailing works at all, but I really love this game, there is just something about the physics or something that makes watching the ship sailing so satisfying. Secondly I don't know if you want a lot of suggestions for adding features, but I noticed in the game files there is an file for a "Cutter" but I have only ever seen one type of ship which is the 5th rate, so I hope that is a feature that will be added soon. I also noticed that during ship battles, they will only ever target one ship, which means 2v1 battles tend to be pretty boring, now I know that a 2v1 would mostly be a one sided, but I still think ships being able to target multiple other ships would be interesting.  As well, during very heavy weather sometimes the ship would list and water would go over the deck, and I would think that you could lose some men when that happened which would slow down a lot of actions if you lose to many, such as taking longer to set the sails or load cannons and what not. Anyways those are just some ideas, whether or not you add any of these ideas, this is still one of my top 5 games.

Thanks! I'm glad you enjoy it.

I'm afraid the game is never going to be much more finished than it is now. I am doing some work on it at the moment, mostly to make sure the sailing model works well, but I don't plan to add any big features or systems. The "cutter " files are from way back; unfortunately the code and the UI are specialized towards a full-rigged ship now.
