Loot and crafting is kind of boring and predictable, once you unlock the recipes you can easily get resources from dismantling or collecting.
There is also no reason to use lower tier resources.
So I want there to be semi-random effects that could be given with different rarity levels based on the resources you put in the components. So lower tier resources could also have some interesting effects and a reason to use.
Loot that you get from dungeons or quests could also have this effects so it would be more painful to dismantle them and lose that.
They could use the Tool Critical or another new stat to determine when it gets an additional effect.
Food and Alchemy could also generate consumables that gives certain buffs.
