Game art redraw (Fanart?)

Hey, I don't know how you're planning your art for the game currently, but I have a bit of an art skill, so I decided to try doing a redraw of Theresa, just for the fun of it, and to see the character the way i imagine her in my head. I kept in mind the goal of the og style and didn't do anything overly realistic, just accentuated the (actually not bad at all) direction that the current design was pointing to. In the end I quite enjoyed the results, and decided to share w/ you. Hope you don't mind, I felt your writing on the game was fantastic, but many people were judging it by the looks a lil too much and thats not fair.

Tried to get a nice screenshot of theresa in game already redrawn. (I only drew the parts i needed to get 2 full models, as you will see)

The last pic shows another arm position i drew so the full body could be shown!
I hope I dont seem like a dick just replacing your art in the game, i just genuinely liked your writing and wanted to do somethin nice :D

I love it! Thank you so much for this! She has so much character in your art and I love the elaborations you've done on the dress.

It's actually really encouraging for me to see that my own much-less-skilled art is successfully conveying things like her build and posture. I'm definitely going to cheat and consult things about this art when I do revisions and additions to my own, to help me learn and understand where I can improve. :D

May I share the "in-game" pics on Twitter? I'm happy to mention a Twitter handle of yours or just link here (or RT your post if you'd prefer to make one of your own).

Ahh I'm glad you liked it! Your art while still clearly developing has a fairly good color scheme for her complexion, dress and so on, I didn't feel the need to change any major colors, just add on to them (I feel like when someone has good ideas, they show it regardless of skill). Feel free to take reference on these drawings I made, since I usually also take references myself (the dress details were inspired by 2 different models of dresses i found online for example).

As for twitter, you can definetly post the images! I have a nsfw account and although I haven't posted anything there yet you could tag it, I'm planning on starting to post there at some point this year: @artemis_zer0

I hope your game continues developing! I kinda got attached to it now lol (if you dont mind I might continue to redraw some stuff, the model I drew is working so well in some scenes but in others it's like totally bugged lmao), its also really fun to mess around with the layers, reminds me of paperdolls and I've been meaning to get some experience with those!

You're welcome to keep drawing and sharing stuff! Regarding the layers, Ren'Py, the engine I use, has really good support for complex layered images, so Theresa's art in particular has a bunch of little details that it must be a lot of work to account for. :)
