Hello! I've been wanting to make a game myself but one that incorporates puzzle rpg elements with a visual novel too. Think a little like old school nancy drew mystery with just being able to go around on an rpg map to do puzzles.

I own RPG Maker MV, Aesprite, the entire adobe suite, and of course Renpy is free, so software wise it's not going to be too hard, but I just want to know if it's possible. I just didn't like the idea of doing "just a visual novel" or "just an rpg maker game". Does anyone know if its possible to make an rpg + visual novel kind of game with this software I own? Thanks!

Also, a lot of games match that description. Where do you think visual novels got their interface from? Have you seen how dialog is handled in RPG Maker games? And yes, Ren'Py has extensions for RPG stuff too.
