I recused a fish man from a town between Noer and Pirate's bane.

He gets me to take him to a camp north in a swamp and then investigate a ruin. 

What I want to know is there some kind of alternate ending to this quest where he isn't ripped apart by the JUSTICE Repear guy and his camp getting wiped out afterwards?
