Trying to add multiplier to damage against enemy

So, I'm trying to build a Mario RPG/Paper Mario style combat system with timed inputs doing multipliers to your attacks. I found a tutorial that set up the Battlecore MECH: HP, MP, TP function to do the actual damage calculation, problem is with this function I'm only able to either take percentages off the enemy (ala Gravity spell type damage) or a flat number rather than a 1.5 multiplier to the damage that would normally be done. I tried using the Battlecore: MECH Multiplier function instead but didn't have any luck. I also tried using a damage formula from the skills damage formula and that caused a crash. Thoughts on how to make this work?
