Hey everyone!

So I downloaded 1.05 the other day. I know it's vastly outdated and the steam release is in a few hours.

However, what I havn't been able to figure out so far is what the purpose of the game is really? Yeah I get it, you have to survive on the raft, which you do from day one since you have to get clean water and food.

So if you survive the first day, you will most likely survive the remaining days that you play the game aswell.

Okey so step 2 is more or less - expand your raft and sure this is awesome the first couple of days until you have planted palms and grow pots.

Now what? I saw one of the videos from the steam release and there's the occasional island drifting by and a raft now and then.

What else to do? Kill the shark that always spawns instantly after you kill it. Try not to drown..

Is this all?

there is an end game of sorts.   you need to get the antenna up.  to figure it out.  I got to the end game thing,   i think.   after that mmm.... not sure

Once you've researched everything and found the end game goal, only thing left is build bigger and better raft. Currently anyway. If you're not into base building, you probably go through available content pretty fast. For people who like to build, content lasts as long as they don't tire of it (remember all those gigantic building projects on Minecraft like 1on1 model of enterprise or working computer in game or hundreds of other massive things people build with it).
