Hello,

I am loving the game so far.   Unfortunately on the 'laptop" section entering chapter 5, I think, I keep getting an error while interacting with Umiko.

The following keeps popping up:

I'm sorry, but an uncaught exception occurred.

I have tried deleting and redownloading the file but continue to have issues at this point.

Is there anything else I should try to stop the error?

I am playing this from a one drive file so I don't know if this is causing this as well

Any help would be appreciated.  I would enjoy the opportunity to continue the novel.

Thank you.

Developer

I'm trying to recreate this issue right now, but I'm having no luck. Umiko can be chatted with on the laptop on Days 4, 7, 8, 9 if you have the Endurance Edition, 10, and 12. I'm guessing it's either Day 4 or Day 7 that this issue happened?

If it's any other day, just not clicking on her and moving to the next laptop day will fix the issue.

If it's one of those days... I'm wondering if you've clicked the little mail icon at the top left of the laptop? Your photo album -- have you opened it before?

Hello,

I have tried to uninstall and reinstall the file and continue to get an error to pop up.

FileNotFoundError: [WinError 2] The system cannot find the file specified: 'game\\laptoplabels.rpy'

I was wondering about the last line on FileNotFoundError:[WinError2} The system cannot finde the file specified: 'game\\laptoplabels.rpy'

I did not see any file named as this on the current download or prior.

Could this be causing the issue?  Once I get the choice with the Umiko charactor the error will pop up.  Same is I attempt to log off the error will pop up.

Any assistance would be appreciated.

Thank you.

Hmm.. there's definitely something strange going on...

https://easyupload.io/uqk030 - Try dropping that file in your "game" folder and overwriting anything if it asks to do so

Thanks.  I will let you know if it works.

Hi.  It looks like that worked.

Thank you.

Yeah, I'm getting some kind of error at whatever laptop scene directly follows the strip poker scene. The whole thing feels buggy and it kind of crashes the game if I try to "Logout" of the laptop.
